Language, Literacy and Communication - the staff follow a specific theme for a period of 6 weeks and aim to include and provide opportunities for each and every child to develop in all the six areas of learning.

Welcome to Seren Fach Nursery where each and every child's needs will be fully met.

We are alert and watchful to the needs of each and every individual.

Our Nursery is bright and colourful, with a wide variety of play equipment, toys and books. The children will be able to participate in many different learning experiences.

Our staff will do all they can to make your child's time with us enjoyable.

THE NURSERY

In January 2006 Meithrinfa Seren Fach welcomed its first child. This was the culmination of the dream of a community company set up by the people of Brithdir to provide this vital service to the working parents of young children in the area. Now well established, it cares for over 36 children aged from 3 months to 5 years old in a happy and bright purpose built environment. The nursery was developed from the former Capel Celyn, set in open countryside above Dolgellau.

Fully qualified staff care for the children and the nursery is registered with C.S.I.W. Particular attention has been paid to creating a safe environment within which children can play and learn, helped by a wide range of toys and games from traditional soft toys to modern computers.

The nursery's language policy is Welsh but operates in a completely bi-lingual environment to encourage non-Welsh speakers to participate.

Healthy food is prepared on the premises for those that need it and care is taken to provide appropriate periods of rest and stimulation during the day, taking into account the individual needs of each child.

OPENING HOURS

Meithrinfa Seren Fach is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday throughout the year except Christmas and Bank Holidays. Children can attend the nursery on days to suit their parents' commitments for whole day or half day sessions.
